Tour Overview
Humantay Lagoon is one of those experiences that alone justifies a trip to Peru. Located at 4,200 meters above sea level in the Cusco Andes, this glacial lake with turquoise waters surrounded by snow-capped peaks is now the third most visited destination in the region, only behind Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain.
The visit is a full-day excursion that begins early in Cusco, heading to the town of Mollepata. From there, the road continues to the Soraypampa parking area, where we prepare for the approximately 1.5-hour hike to reach the lagoon and its surrounding snow-capped mountains.
